Until 2000 the length of roads in the city as a whole has only reached 4.9% of the total land area with the position should ideally be in the range 15-20%. Construction of new roads, increasing road capacity and arrangement of the region should be a concern for the administration to make this city into a leading city. On June 25, 2005, the bridge was officially opened Pasupati, to reduce congestion in the city center, and become a new landmark for this city. Bridge with a length of 2.8 km was built in the valley region and across Ci Kapundung and can connect the shaft west to east in the northern city of Bandung.

Bandung city is about 180 km from Jakarta, can now be achieved through the toll road Cipularang (Cikampek-Purwakarta-Padalarang) with travel time between 1.5 hours to 2 hours. The toll road is a development of toll roads Padaleunyi (Padalarang-Cileunyi), which was built earlier.
